About Us
The huge red sun was rising over Tambopata River. We were sitting on a small island in the middle of the river in the heart of the Amazon rainforests of southeastern Peru. Somewhere upstream the rainy season has already started and the river was wild. Huge trees and branches were floating by in the brown raging water. The scene was just like in the movies.
Parrots started gathering from all directions. They came in pairs and in little flocks. They landed on the crowns of trees surrounding a massive clay lick of the river bank. Every minute the noise of squawking parrots got louder and louder. The sun was slowly rising above the river. Finally it cleared the canopy of the jungles. At that exact moment, as if by command, all the birds flew off the trees and landed on the bank of the river in a spectacular explosion of color and sound. Once they were on the clay lick they started feasting on the clay. It was an amazing site. Each group of parrots was sitting separately from another one based on the colors of their feathers. Green ones with green, blue ones with blue. They never mixed.
I witnessed this nature spectacle in Peru on Tambopata River. Macaws and parrots come to the clay lick to obtain the hard to find minerals that are only present in high concentrations in the clay soil. It is also thought that parrots eat the clay to neutralize the effects of toxic fruits and seeds they eat. Finally, some scientists hypothesize that macaws also socialize and exchange information as they gather around the clay lick.
Many years later at the local Art and Wine festival I met a couple who were making various products from the same type of clay I have seen in Peru! It immediately caught my attention because I remembered parrots enthusiasm with which they consumed it. I bought some of the products and started learning about clay as much as I could. I read the book by Ray Knishinsky “The Clay Cure: Natural Healing from the Earth” and spent many hours on the Internet researching the subject.
I came to conclusion that clay can provide three very important benefits to my body:
• It contains more than 60 minerals that as important to our body as vitamins and is often overlooked by people.
• It detoxifies the body and keeps digestive system clean from inside.
• It balances body pH which is very important for human health
To me it was like “killing three birds with one stone”. I started using the clay about two years ago. I drink it with hot water first thing in the morning, use soap, toothpaste, face and foot masks and all other products made by this company. All products are combination of natural clay and herbs. By using it I minimize the amount of chemicals I put in my body.
Little by little I started offering it to my relatives and friends. Now, two years later, 90% of my customers are still with me. I personally have tons of energy, lost 12 lb that never came back, my skin looks fantastic and I supply my body with much needed minerals and remove toxins from it at the same time. What can be better? I love this clay and want to tell everyone about it. I highly recommend it!
